POWERCHINA bears fruitful results at Kazakhstan-China Investment Roundtable

Ding YanZhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, signed three agreements on behalf of the company at the Kazakhstan-China Investment Roundtable held on May 18 during the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

There have been three significant deals inked that have been recently concluded. The first one is a memorandum of understanding that pertains to the expansion project for the renewable energy expansion project in the Shelek Corridor, which was entered into withS amruk-Kazyna JSC.

The second agreement is a strategic cooperation between POWERCHINA and Eurasian Resources Group. Lastly, a contract for a cascade hydropower station and water supply project was signed with Kazakhstan's South Oil.

In his speech at the roundtable, Ding expressed his gratitude to the Kazakhstan government for its long-term concern and support for POWERCHINA's development in Kazakhstan.

As a comprehensive large-scale construction group with multinational operations, POWERCHINA has established long-term and fruitful cooperation with the Kazakhstan government and enterprises, contributing to the country's economic and social development and improving people's livelihood since entering the Kazakhstan market in 2018.

POWERCHINA is willing to deepen cooperation with various areas in Kazakhstan, work together to promote development, and advance the implementation of significant projects to deepen the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan in the new era, Ding added.

Since 2008, POWERCHINA has contracted 23 projects in Kazakhstan involving water conservancy and hydropower, thermal power, new energy, road construction, mining, and other fields, with a contract value of about $3.66 billion.
