Ding Yanzhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, makes a speech at the International Cooperation on New Energy Forum in Macao.
The International Cooperation on New Energy Forum, one of the sub-forums of the 14th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum, was held by POWERCHINA in Macao on June 2, with over 200 guests from around the world attending.
During the forum, Ding Yanzhang, chairman of POWERCHINA, said in his speech that developing renewable energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaic is the strategic path and key measure to promote the energy revolution and build a new energy system.
POWERCHINA, as the world's largest power designer, contractor, and global leader in clean and low-carbon energy construction, has played a critical role in practicing the new national energy security strategy and promoting the clean and low-carbon transformation of energy.
Ding put forward proposals in three respects, including promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, deepening international exchanges and cooperation in the field of energy, and promoting the priority implementation of key new energy projects in the field of people's livelihood and urgently needed development.
What's more, the roundtable discussions were held regarding the development of new energy technology trends and market prospects, issues on international cooperation in new energy, paths and proposals for high-quality industry development.
