The major Vietnam Phu My 330 MWp Solar Power Plant, built by POWERCHINA, recently won the 2023 China Power Quality Engineering Award.
The award reportedly represents the highest engineering quality level in China's power industry. It is said to showcase the excellent design, scientific management, superior quality, leading technology, energy conservation and exquisite craftsmanship of the solar park.
Its comprehensive indicators are understood to have reached the advanced levels of the same period and type in China.
The solar power park's total installed capacity makes it the largest of its kind in Central Vietnam. It can generate more than 500 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually, which has alleviated the local energy shortage and greatly promoted local economic development and energy transformation and upgrading.
Targeting the specific characteristics of the project, POWERCHINA independently developed and integrated new equipment, materials, processes and technologies – to improve the quality and ensure an excellent engineering performance.
Featuring significant technological innovation achievements, the project has won over 20 awards, such as first prize in the excellent engineering general contracting project category of the Electricity Regulations Association and POWERCHINA Engineering Award.
