The China-South Africa New Energy Investment and Cooperation Conference recently kicks off in South Africa.
The China-South Africa New Energy Investment and Cooperation Conference kicked off in South Africa on June 13, with Liu Kai, executive deputy general manager of the Southeast Africa regional headquarters, delivering a keynote speech entitled "Focusing on Green Energy, Promoting China-South Energy Cooperation, and Helping to Drive the Sustainable Development of the South African Economy".
He said in his speech that POWERCHINA, as a leader in the global clean low-carbon energy, water resources, and environmental construction sectors, provides integrated services such as investment, design, construction, operation and comprehensive solutions in the field of new energy on a global scale.
He also outlined the enormous potential for cooperation in the field of new energy between China and South Africa and put forward suggestions for cooperation in the field of new energy between the two countries, based on China's industrial and technological advantages in new energy and South Africa's need to solve its power crisis and improve its energy structure
During the conference, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, South Africa's Minister of Electricity, and Chen Xiaodong, Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, visited POWERCHINA's exhibition stand. After learning about the company's business in South Africa, Ramokgopa said he appreciates the company's participation in the construction of South Africa's power system and expressed hope that POWERCHINA will make use of its own strengths to contribute to the development of South Africa's power industry.
The conference was held on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa, providing a platform for information exchange and cooperation between relevant enterprises and institutions in the two countries.
More than 400 people, including South African government officials, representatives of more than 170 new energy-related companies, and Chinese and foreign media reporters attended the conference.
