The Belgrade Belt Highway, built by POWERCHINA, opened to traffic on June 29. Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, Prime Minister of Serbia, and Chen Bo, Ambassador of China to Serbia, and other officials attended the opening ceremony.
During the ceremony, Vučić said in his speech that the Belgrade Belt Highway is of great significance to the development of the local economy and transportation and will relieve traffic pressure in Belgrade as well as make travel easier for local residents.
He expressed his appreciation to all participating Chinese employees and praised POWERCHINA's efforts and abilities.
Chen Bo offered his congratulations on the opening of the belt highway and thanked the Serbian government for its support of POWERCHINA, as well as the efforts made by the two countries' employees.
She also expressed her hope that the two parties will cooperate more on infrastructure.
POWERCHINA will continue to improve its abilities and services to boost the country's economic and social development.
The Belgrade Belt Highway, which is a key cooperation project for both countries, plays a vital role in connecting Central and Southern Europe.
