Employees of POWERCHINA and locals celebrate the handover of the 448 houses in Algeria.
The handover ceremony of the third batch of 448 houses in the Guelma Housing Project, built by POWERCHINA, was held in Algeria on July 9, amid celebrations for Algeria's 61st Independence Day.
A delegation of officials from the Ministry of Housing and representatives of the owners attended the ceremony, during which they praised and expressed appreciation for POWERCHINA's efforts, as well as the engineering quality and housing standards of the Guelma Housing Project.
The houses will greatly alleviate the local housing shortage, benefiting more than 3,000 people in the area.
The Guelma Housing Project is a government-funded affordable housing project with a total residential area of 102,920 square meters and a construction area of approximately 155,930 square meters.
The project will see the construction of a total of 1,476 houses, 1,278 of which have been completed. The remaining 198 houses are expected to be completed within the year.
In the future, POWERCHINA will continue to integrate corporate development with the promotion of local social development and carry out cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and other fields, contributing to the economic and social development of Algeria.
