The 6th China-Arab States Expo was held in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Sept 21-22. Ji Xiaoyong, deputy chief economist of POWERCHINA, attended the expo's opening ceremony, the China-Arab States Business Summit, and the China-Arab States Green Energy Cooperation Dialogue.

Titled "New Era, New Opportunities, New Future", the expo aims to create a platform for communication and collaboration between China and Arab states.

On Sept 21, Ji met with representatives from Iraq's Amwaj International Co and Saudi Arabia's Al Jomaih Holding Co, who were invited by POWERCHINA to attend the expo. During the China-Arab States Business Summit, they witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between POWERCHINA and the two groups for the Iraq Oasis Hotel, the Salahuddin Power Station, and the 500 MW photovoltaic power station project in Diyala Province.

Ji stated that POWERCHINA has undertaken multiple "world-class" projects in countries in the Middle East and North Africa, such as Iraq and Saudi Arabia, becoming the largest power station and seawater desalination EPC contractor in the region, and that he looks forward to deepening cooperation with Amwaj and Al Jomaih and promoting the implementation of projects.

The heads of the two companies expressed appreciation for POWERCHINA's achievements in business operation in the Middle East and North Africa. They expressed a desire to strengthen cooperation with POWERCHINA in the fields of energy and infrastructure, and achieve mutually beneficial sustainable development.
