On Oct 5, the mainstream Tanzanian media "Daily News" reported on the progress of the second phase of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project in Dar es Salaam city – the economic capital and largest city of Tanzania with a population of 5 million, which is being constructed by POWERCHINA, and the huge benefits that the project will bring to the Tanzanian economy and society after its completion.

The report is a best recognition of POWERCHINA's strong performance and enhances the visibility and brand image of POWERCHINA in the Tanzanian market.

According to the report, the completion of the second phase of the BRT Project will greatly improve public transportation in the city. It is expected to provide convenient and efficient public transportation for 1.2 million local residents, improving mobility, connectivity, and accessibility for commuters and businesses, thereby supporting the economic and social development of the city and country.

The project is located in Mbagala, one of the most densely populated areas in Dar es Salaam. Most people in the area commute to and from the city center for work. The project involves the construction of a 20.3-kilometer road from Kariakoo to Mbagala, passing through the central business district of Tanzania, and the construction of two flyovers along Kilwa Road and 27 large bus stations.

The project is now nearing completion and is expected to be handed over in late October. The project has created thousands of jobs for local residents, and a large number of local youths will have acquired skills and experience after the project's completion, further optimizing local employment.
