A panoramic view of the Ivovik Wind Power Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
POWERCHINA recently completed the110kV transmission line section of the Ivovik Wind Power Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The completion of this transmission line marks a significant milestone in the construction of the overall project, paving the way for enhanced power transmission and grid connection.
The transmission line is a separate project from the wind farm. It spans mountainous areas and roads, presenting challenges in land acquisition, design, and construction due to the steep slopes and complex land conditions.
POWERCHINA overcame various difficulties such as a shortage of local construction personnel and machinery, as well as the protracted material production supply cycle, and completed the project in just over four months, two months ahead of the schedule stipulated in the grid connection agreement.
The Ivovik Wind Power Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the first energy project invested in by a Chinese company in the country. It has been included in the list of achievements of the 2021 China-CEEC Summit and recognized as a major national project by the Bosnian government.
The project will promote the transformation and upgrading of Bosnia and Herzegovina's energy structure, address local employment needs, and further deepen economic and trade cooperation with China.
