The handover ceremony of the Jazan Besh-92 project, an affordable housing project built by POWERCHINA, was held in Saudi Arabia on Oct 26, with Mohammed, director of the Affordable Housing Division of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia, attending.
Prior to this, several affordable housing units built as part of the project were successfully handed over, benefiting nearly 1,900 local Saudi families.
At the ceremony, Mohammed said in his speech that the project faced numerous challenges during its construction, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, global supply chain disruptions, and soaring resource prices. However, through POWERCHINA’s efforts, the project was ultimately completed to a high standard and handed over.
Mohammed and his delegation visited the project's prefabrication factory, expressing a desire to fully utilize existing production capacity and to quickly initiate new housing project collaborations with POWERCHINA.
During the project's warranty period, POWERCHINA also established a dedicated maintenance team to assist Saudi residents in becoming familiar with the use of their homes and promptly address resident maintenance requests. One local who received one of the new housing units last year exclaimed, "Our entire family loves the new house; the quality and the maintenance service are both excellent."
Moving forward, POWERCHINA will continue to support Saudi Arabia in achieving its "Vision 2023," ensuring that more livelihood projects benefit the local population.
