The China Association of Construction Enterprise Management recently issued a decision on the recognition of the National Quality Engineering Award for the years 2022-2023. POWERCHINA has been awarded a total of 18 National Quality Engineering Gold Awards and 37 National Quality Engineering Awards.
To date, POWERCHINA has received 83 National Quality Engineering Gold Awards and 257 National Quality Engineering Awards.
This year's newly-awarded engineering projects include the Rabigh Phase III Desalination Plant in Saudi Arabia, which utilizes the world's most advanced reverse osmosis desalination technology and has a daily water production capacity of 600,000 cubic meters, making it one of the largest individual seawater desalination projects in the world.
It has even been included in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant.
The DG Hydropower Station in Tibet has a total installed capacity of 660,000 kilowatts, setting five world records. With an average annual electricity generation of 3.20 billion kilowatt-hours, it can reduce standard coal usage by 1.06 million metric tons each year, resulting in a reduction of 2.67 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
The Fengman Hydropower Station, meanwhile, has a total installed capacity of 1.48 million kilowatts, with an average annual electricity generation of 1.71 billion kilowatt-hours. It is the first large-scale hydropower station reconstruction project in the world, with a hundred billion cubic meters of reservoir capacity, a hundred-meter-tall dam, and a million kilowatts of installed capacity.
The National Quality Engineering Award was established in 1981 and is the oldest and highest-specification cross-industry national quality award for engineering construction in China.
The National Quality Engineering Gold Award is the highest honor in the field of engineering construction, serving as a guiding light in the industry.
