Students walk into their new school with smiles on their faces.
The San Juan Primary School, the school reconstruction project carried out by POWERCHINA in Peru, was officially handed over.
The school is located in the city of Chimbote and was recently built by the Peruvian government to address issues such as aging classrooms. The project includes tasks such as school design, demolition, civil construction, procurement and installation of teaching facilities, and site landscaping.
The total land area of the school is 4,406.66 square meters, with a building area of 3,883.12 square meters, and it is divided into kindergarten and elementary school sections. The kindergarten section comprises seven classrooms, administrative offices, multimedia classrooms, restrooms (including separate restrooms for disabled individuals), and recreational facilities, accommodating over 350 students.
The elementary school section includes 11 classrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, multimedia classrooms, a computer room, an electrical room, restrooms (including separate restrooms for disabled individuals), and a sports field, accommodating over 880 students.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the school principal officially announced the acceptance of the school. He praised POWERCHINA for fulfilling the contract to such a high standard and expressed his gratitude to all the construction workers involved.
