POWERCHINA received the Taking-over Certificate (TOC) for the Szalejow Gorny Reservoir project – a dry flood control reservoir in Poland – on Dec 21, marking the end of construction on the project and the commencement of the warranty period.
The project included the construction of a main dam embankment, spillway, overflow channel, auxiliary dam, management building, river channel improvement within the project scope, reconstruction of medium and low-voltage power lines, and tree planting.
The project commenced on Sept 4, 2018, and spanned a period of five years, being approved on Oct 31, 2023.
The Szalejow Gorny Reservoir Project is one of the four sub-projects of the Oder River Flood Control Reservoir Project. So far, all four projects have been completed and have entered the warranty period, significantly enhancing flood resistance in the Oder River basin.
This accomplishment has created a positive brand image for POWERCHINA and led to favorable conditions for the company's expansion in the Polish water management market.
