Representatives from POWERCHINA and Sri Lanka attend the signing ceremony of the KN Project.
POWERCHINA officially signed a contract for the Colombo Kirula-Narahenpita Sewerage Network Project (KN Project) with the State Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government Affairs of Sri Lanka on Feb 2.
This is POWERCHINA's first sewage pipeline project in Sri Lanka, signifying a good start of the Sri Lankan market in 2024.
The KN Project is located in the heart of Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, and is part of the Colombo Municipal Council's key renovation and expansion project. This sewage system project is set to enhance the city's underground drainage capacity.
With a contract duration of 30 months, the project's construction scope includes the establishment of two large underground sewage pumping stations along with a supporting sewage pipeline network system.
