The handover ceremony for a Mozambique housing project recently took place, with Judith Faria, the Secretary of State of Maputo Province, Mozambique, attending.

The houses are meant to help resettle residents affected by the construction of the newly-built Temane 400 kV Substation.

During the ceremony, Judith emphasized that in the process of advancing the ten-year national electrification strategic plan, the resettlement of residents should be given top priority. The housing project undertaken by POWERCHINA is key to addressing this issue.

The project will provide 108 families with better housing conditions and community environments, reflecting the country's determination to improve people's livelihoods.

The housing project consists of two sections located in the districts of Marracuene and Magude, respectively. It comprises a total of 86 urban houses, 22 rural houses, two hospitals, two schools, one police station, and supporting facilities such as water and electricity supply infrastructure and roads. The total construction area is approximately 15,000 square meters.
