POWERCHINA meets with Vietnamese deputy PM

Tran Hong Ha, deputy prime minister of Vietnam and Wang Bin, President of POWERCHINA, has a deep exchange. 

Wang Bin, President of POWERCHINA, paid a visit to Tran Hong Ha, deputy prime minister of Vietnam, in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Feb 27.

Tran Hong Ha praised the fruitful achievements of POWERCHINA in the energy and power sector in Vietnam. He stated that POWERCHINA has constructed a large number of high-quality projects in Vietnam over the years, effectively promoting the country’s economic and social development.

He expressed the hope that POWERCHINA will continue to leverage its advantages in the integrated industry chains and further deepen cooperation with the Vietnamese government.

Wang Bin committed on the deputy PM's hope and expressed gratitude to Tran Hong Ha and the Vietnamese Party and government for their long-term support and guidance to POWERCHINA.

Since entering the Vietnamese market in 2000, POWERCHINA has become the largest power contracting enterprise in Vietnam. It has participated in over 70 percent of Vietnam's power projects, with a total installed capacity of nearly 30 million kilowatts and a total contract value of over $9 billion.

From 2018 to 2022, a total of 40 photovoltaic, onshore and offshore wind power projects, with a cumulative installed capacity of over 5 million kilowatts, were completed by POWERCHINA. This reduced Vietnam's carbon emissions by over 7.5 million metric tons annually and created over 150,000 jobs.
