The award ceremony takes place at the City Hall of Mauriti.
POWERCHINA was honored with the Annual Municipal Contribution Award for the Mauriti Photovoltaic Project by the Mauriti Municipal Government in Brazil on March 25. Joao Paulo Furtado, mayor of Mauriti, and Deudivan, chairman of the council, attended the ceremony.
Mayor Joao said that during the construction of the Mauriti Photovoltaic Project, POWERCHINA fulfilled its social responsibilities in various ways, including road repairs, campus renovations, charitable donations, and employment training. These initiatives not only boosted the local economy, but also enhanced local tax revenues, bringing tangible benefits to Mauriti.
Deudivan also praised POWERCHINA's efforts in his speech, stating that the Mauriti Photovoltaic Project has made a strong contribution to promoting local employment and economic development.
The representative from POWERCHINA hoped that the grid connection of the project can be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil.
