Representatives from POWERCHINA and the NEA attend the signing ceremony.

POWERCHINA signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract for civil engineering and hydro-mechanical equipment for the Tamakoshi V Hydroelectric Project with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on May 10.

The signing of the contract marks another significant collaboration with the NEA following the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Plant and the Tanahu Hydropower Station, reflecting NEA's confidence in POWERCHINA.

The project, located in Dolakha District, Bagmati Province, Nepal, has a total installed capacity of 99.8 megawatts. It will utilize the tailwater from the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Plant into the Tamakoshi V Hydropower Plant to generate electricity. Major construction works include a headrace tunnel, an underground powerhouse, and a pressure shaft.

As an important power project in Nepal, it will play a significant role in enhancing the national power supply and promoting local economic development.
