Wang Xiaojun, vice-president of POWERCHINA, attended the 10th World Water Forum in Indonesia from May 17-22.

On May 18, Wang accompanied Li Guoyang, minister of water resources of China, to inspect and provide guidance at the sites of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway and the Jatigede Dam, both being built by POWERCHINA.

Wang provided a detailed report to Li on the construction and operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, which is the first overseas project to comprehensively implement China's high-speed rail system. At the Jatigede Dam project site, Wang reported on the construction progress and the significant contributions the dam has made to the economic development of the surrounding areas since its completion.

On May 20, the 10th World Water Forum opened in Bali, Indonesia. It is the world's largest international water event initiated by the World Water Council in 1997 and held every three years. This year's event is the first to be held in a Southeast Asian country. Joko Widodo, the Indonesian president, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

During the forum, POWERCHINA fully showcased its professional expertise and engineering achievements in water conservancy and water affairs. Government officials, scholars, experts, and entrepreneurs from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Russia, South Korea, Belgium, Singapore, Denmark, and Qatar visited the company's exhibition area.

On the morning of May 21, during the China Pavilion's Sino-foreign entrepreneurs dialogue event, Wang made a speech on behalf of POWERCHINA.

That afternoon, Wang met with Basuki Hadimuljono, the minister of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia, and the two sides expressed the same hope to continuously strengthen and deepen their cooperative relationship.
