Employees from POWERCHINA and Guinea celebrate the opening of the Small-Gauge Underground Passage of the Bambéto Roundabout Interchange Project.
The Small-Gauge Underground Passage of the Bambéto Roundabout Interchange Project, Guinea's first three-level transportation facility built by POWERCHINA, officially opened to traffic on July 13. Mamadou Oury Bah, prime minister of Guinea, attended the opening ceremony.
At noon, the prime minister's motorcade slowly passed through the underpass as local residents joyfully entered and followed, giving a collective thumbs up to POWERCHINA.
The prime minister thanked POWERCHINA for its construction efforts and praised the company for completing the crucial underpass so that it can open on schedule during the rainy season.
He hopes POWERCHINA will continue its efforts to complete the project to a high quality, aiming for an early full opening of the entire interchange.
The Bambeto Interchange Project, through the scientific design of an overpass, underpass, and auxiliary roads on both sides, effectively improves traffic efficiency and safety.
The interchange will help improve the traffic situation in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, and is of paramount importance to the Guinean government. It will have a profound impact on Guinea's national economic development and help improve people's livelihoods.
Since the commencement of the project, POWERCHINA has explored and applied advanced construction techniques and vigorously worked to complete the project, effectively advancing the project's standardized construction process and achieving various milestones, thus earning POWERCHINA a strong reputation in the Guinean market.
