Co-hosted by POWERCHINA and the government of Cote d'Ivoire's Soubre Province, the second edition of the "Sinohydro Cup" Football Tournament 2024 officially kicked off on Aug 6.
The tournament was organized in celebration of Cote d'Ivoire's Independence Day to enhance the friendship between China and Cote d'Ivoire and boost the "Sinohydro" brand's influence, with 12 teams representing POWERCHINA, the local government, and various enterprises and institutions participating. The Soubre governor attended the opening ceremony, cheering on the local athletes.
Beyond being a competitive sporting exchange, the tournament also served to deepen friendships between the peoples of China and Cote d'Ivoire. Both Chinese employees and local residents watched the match, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere as they cheered on the athletes.
