On Sept 12, the Saad II Photovoltaic Project in Saudi Arabia, undertaken by POWERCHINA, celebrated achieving 2 million man-hours without a single lost-time injury at the site of the project.

The CEO of the owner company praised POWERCHINA's safety management capabilities and urged the company to maintain this high level of safety.

The Saad II Photovoltaic Project is a key initiative under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 development strategy. It plays a significant role in promoting local social development, developing a low-carbon and environmentally friendly economy, and supporting the nation's renewable energy targets for 2030.

This is POWERCHINA's first gigawatt-level photovoltaic EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project.

Since the project started operating, POWERCHINA has successfully completed construction on access roads, temporary facilities and the factory site perimeter, as well as the topping-off of the main control building of the substation. The project is steadily progressing towards the target of connecting to the grid as scheduled.
