The 500-kilovolt Thung Song Substation Project in Thailand, constructed by POWERCHINA, recently passed site acceptance by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand's acceptance committee and has been handed over.
The project, a key initiative of the authority, is crucial for ensuring stable power operations in southern Thailand, enhancing grid transmission capacity, and improving energy stability.
It is located in Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand, and includes the renovation and expansion of a 230 kV AIS substation and the construction of a new 500 kV GIS substation.
It will serve as a core power hub for southern Thailand, providing stable, high-quality power to the region, significantly contributing to industrial growth and improving residents' quality of life.
The successful implementation of the project has allowed the company to gain valuable local compliance resources and experience, strongly enhancing the influence of POWERCHINA's brand in Thailand's local market, and providing robust support for future projects.
