The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ndende-Doussala Road Project, constructed by POWERCHINA, was held on Nov 1 in Ndende Town, Ngounie Province, Gabon. Brice Oligui Nguema, the President of Gabon, attended the ceremony and personally laid the project's foundation brick.
This project is a key construction initiative under the first phase of Gabon's infrastructure support program. The main tasks include building a 49-kilometer asphalt road section between Ndende and Doussala, restoring a 15-km rural road connecting to the main highway, and developing related infrastructure. The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
Upon completion, it will drastically improve traffic conditions in southern Gabon along the border with the Republic of Congo, promote economic and trade development along the route, and enhance the welfare of local communities.
Since entering the Gabonese market in 2007, POWERCHINA has completed several asphalt road construction projects in the country, with a total completed length of over 220 km. These projects have significantly contributed to the country's economic and social development.
