As of 0:00 am on Nov 6, 2024, Jerada Power Station in Morocco had generated a total of 2.29 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity this year, surpassing the annual target by 0.25 percent 56 days ahead of schedule.

During the summer of 2024, amid an unprecedented and prolonged heat wave, the need for a stable power supply in the project area was more critical than ever. In response, POWERCHINA installed an air-cooling spray system, enabling the station to maintain full-load, high back-pressure operation for an extended period, and supporting Morocco's power grid during peak demand.

Through a series of support measures, POWERCHINA successfully completed its summer peak-shaving operations and saw zero unplanned outages for a record-breaking 200 days, ensuring a safe and stable summer electricity supply in eastern Morocco. This strong performance earned high recognition from both the project owner and local government.

Since its commissioning, the power station has been operating safely and stably, completing its annual power generation target early for seven consecutive years and generating over 17.8 billion kWh of power in total. Beyond providing a continuous power supply to Morocco's grid, the station's high efficiency and environmental benefits contribute significantly to the country's energy infrastructure, economic growth, and environmental goals.
