Chinese and Brazilian media engage in discussions.

During the 19th G20 Summit, held in Brazil on Nov 18 and 19, multiple Chinese and Brazilian mainstream media outlets, including People's Daily, Brazilian Business Review, and Folha de S.Paulo, covered POWERCHINA's Sao Paulo Metro Line 2 project. The reports showcased POWERCHINA's significant contributions to China-Brazil cooperation.

On Nov 18, the international edition of People's Daily cited a 247 News article highlighting the rapid progress of the Sao Paulo Metro Line 2 expansion project. Once completed, the project will greatly enhance Sao Paulo's infrastructure and public transit system, reduce carbon emissions, alleviate congestion, and promote connectivity.  POWERCHINA's other key projects in Brazil also received extensive coverage.

Since entering the Brazilian market in 2006, POWERCHINA has signed over 50 contracts across hydropower, highways, metro systems, and renewable energy. In April 2023, construction began on the Mauriti Photovoltaic Project, a renewable energy project wholly owned by POWERCHINA.

Over its 18 years in Brazil, POWERCHINA has developed strong partnerships with local businesses through its localized and professional teams, actively contributing to the country's economic and social development. The company employs 143 Chinese staff in Brazil and has created over 4,000 direct and indirect local jobs.
