The groundbreaking ceremony of the Al Ajban Solar PV3 Plant.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Al Ajban Solar PV3 Plant in the UAE, contracted by POWERCHINA, took place on Nov 19.
During the ceremony, the project owner's representative stated that the project is a key initiative under the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to provide the country with zero-emission clean energy.
The Al Ajban Solar PV3 Plant is located in the Al Ajban region, approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Abu Dhabi, near the border with Dubai. It has a total DC installed capacity of approximately 1.8 gigawatts. Its scope includes the design, construction, procurement, installation, commissioning, and trial operation of a PV plant and a 400-kilovolt booster station, as well as operation and maintenance services during a 24-month warranty period. As a new highlight of the UAE's green economic and social development, POWERCHINA is expected to hand over the project on time and with high quality.
