On Dec 5, POWERCHINA handed over the Ignacio Merino School, the ninth school in Package No 7 of the Peruvian National Infrastructure Authority's school project.
At the handover ceremony, the director of the education bureau of Talara Province expressed gratitude to POWERCHINA for prioritizing social benefits by providing modern teaching facilities and donating sports equipment and musical instruments. This enriches the school's resources and creates more opportunities for students to learn and grow.

Located in the Pariñas District of Talara Province, Ignacio Merino School is the largest school in Package No 7. With a total construction area of 9,645.33 square meters, the school features six teaching buildings, a sports complex, and three auxiliary office buildings. With 36 fully equipped specialized classrooms, it can accommodate the educational needs of 1,100 students.
In recent years, based on the concept of win-win cooperation, POWERCHINA has carried out high-quality public infrastructure projects in Peru and contributed to the improvement of local education level.
