People celebrate the handover of the new school.
The School of Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes.
On Dec 27, 2024, POWERCHINA officially handed over the School of Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes, the 10th school under Package 7 of the Peruvian National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN)'s school projects.
The handover ceremony was attended by Fernando, director of the Education Bureau of La Unión City in Piura Province where the school is located, representatives of the ANIN (the project's owner), the school principal and parents.
The school covers a total construction area of 6,113.92 square meters. The campus is divided into primary and secondary school areas, featuring four teaching buildings and two sports fields. It has 30 classrooms equipped with modern landscaping and multimedia teaching facilities, accommodating more than 900 students.
This is the second school handed over under Package 7 within the past month. During the handover ceremony, POWERCHINA donated books to the school's reading corner.
Fernando thanked POWERCHINA for its commitment to prioritizing social benefits. The owner's representative praised the project team for their outstanding performance, highlighting that the consecutive handover of two schools showcases POWERCHINA's exceptional construction expertise and strong sense of social responsibility.
