Employees celebrate the completion of the wind turbine installation.

POWERCHINA completed the installation of all 77 wind turbines for the 500-Megawatt Amunet Wind Power Project in Egypt, with the final blade of the T24 wind turbine precisely positioned on Jan 14.

This milestone surpasses planned construction targets and lays a solid foundation for the project's smooth transition to power generation and grid connection, marking an important step toward full-scale production.

The project, located approximately 300 kilometers southeast of Cairo, is one of the largest wind power projects undertaken by POWERCHINA in the Middle East and North Africa. In terms of individual turbine capacity, it is also Egypt's largest ongoing wind power project, with a total installed capacity of 500 MW and 77 Envision EN171-6.5 MW wind turbines.

Despite complex and challenging conditions, POWERCHINA overcame multiple difficulties, and completed the installation of all the turbines ahead of schedule through innovative installation processes, detailed project organization, flexible equipment allocation, and strict quality control. POWERCHINA strives to meet the project's target for completion and commissioning within the year.
