POWERCHINA's Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Phase III project team worked to ensure smooth transportation and an optimized environment for the Mission 300 African Energy Summit, which recently began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
POWERCHINA cleared construction roads along the route, paved the main road and mixed traffic lanes in the airport area, and laid decorative tiles for pedestrian walkways. It also installed solar streetlights along the entire route from the airport to the city center. These efforts earned high praise from local government departments, the client, and the supervisory unit, further enhancing POWERCHINA's reputation.
The BRT Phase III project is located on a major arterial road that spans 23 kilometers and connects the city center and the airport. It includes mixed traffic lanes on both sides, a dedicated BRT lane in the middle, pedestrian walkways, 33 BRT stations, and other supporting facilities.
As a key project under the Tanzania National Roads Agency, this BRT project provides reliable transportation and infrastructure support for hosting international conferences. Once fully operational, it will further enhance the city's functionality and internationalization, injecting new momentum into Tanzania's development.
