POWERCHINA recently received a letter of appreciation from the Moroccan government, which highly commended POWERCHINA's Jerada Power Plant Project department for its outstanding contribution to the local community and expressed sincere gratitude.
The letter, issued under the authorization of the Hassi-Blal local government, where the project is located, acknowledges POWERCHINA's exemplary efforts in ensuring Morocco's stable and secure electricity supply. The project complies with local laws and regulations and is vital in promoting local employment and economic and social development.
The Jerada Power Plant Project has been in operation since 2017 and achieved an impressive record of 8,751 operational hours in its first year. As a key power generation facility responsible for Morocco's base-load electricity supply and peak load regulation, the plant is a key player in the country's power grid.
It has surpassed its annual power generation targets for seven consecutive years, with a cumulative electricity output exceeding 17.8 billion kilowatt-hours. This ensures the country's continuous power supply and contributes significantly to its energy development, economic growth, and environmental protection. The project's high efficiency, energy-saving, and eco-friendly features have enhanced POWERCHINA's reputation and brand recognition in Morocco.
