On March 3, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte attended the inauguration ceremony of the Peru Japon School, part of Package No 1 of Peru's Bicentennial Schools Project, undertaken by POWERCHINA.
Following the ceremony, she made a site visit to the core facilities such as classrooms and laboratories, praising the school's modern construction standards and recognizing POWERCHINA's efforts to ensure project progress and quality.
Located in the Lima region, the school covers a total construction area of 5,115 square meters and can accommodate nearly 1,200 students. The campus features classrooms, administrative offices, a library, a multipurpose hall, and a stadium.
POWERCHINA completed the project in just 10 months, adopting a dual-phase construction approach – combining emergency and permanent solutions – to strictly control and optimize every stage, from foundation work and structural construction to interior finishing and equipment installation. This ensured the highest acceptance standards while minimizing disruptions to teaching activities.
As Lima's largest public education infrastructure project in the past decade, this school significantly alleviates local education resource shortages and sets a benchmark for future school construction projects.
