POWERCHINA recently completed the installation of six precast beams on the river-crossing section of the Yarkon Light Rail Bridge on the G3-4 section of the Tel Aviv Light Rail's Green Line in Israel, marking a north-south connection of this key control project.

The river-crossing beam installation placed six double-T precast beams over the 55-meter-wide Yarkon River. Each beam measured 31 meters long, weighed 72 metric tons, and was lifted to a height of 35 meters. The challenging waterway conditions and site constraints made construction extremely difficult. The work also occurred during the flood and rainy seasons, with continuous rainfall causing rapid river currents that increased the operation's complexity.

With 93 percent of the construction completed, the project has transitioned to steel structure and landscaping work.

The G3-4 section, constructed by POWERCHINA, is a key project under Israel's 2030 National Transport Plan. This section spans 820 meters and includes a main light rail bridge and a 2,400-square-meter ground station. As part of the second phase of the light rail network, it will connect northern and southern Tel Aviv with the city center, significantly enhancing urban rail connectivity and improving travel convenience for residents. The Yarkon Light Rail Bridge, a critical control project of the Green Line, is set to become a new landmark in Tel Aviv.
