Lines 1 and 2 of the transmission project from Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant to Zafarabad Substation in Uzbekistan, undertaken by POWERCHINA, have been energized, marking the project's entry into the trial operation phase.

The double-circuit transmission line, a key energy cooperation project under the China-Uzbekistan Belt and Road Initiative framework, spans 274 kilometers and crosses railways, highways, 500 kV, 220kV, and 0.4-110kV power lines, as well as farmland, which posed significant construction challenges. With extensive engineering experience and technical expertise, POWERCHINA overcame these difficulties, delivering high-quality, efficient construction that earned high praise from the Uzbek client.

The transmission line will significantly enhance the stability and reliability of the power grid in the Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions. It will meet the region's growing electricity demand and provide strong energy support for local economic and social development. The project will also boost employment, drive related industries, and inject new momentum into Uzbekistan's economic growth.
