A grand inauguration ceremony was held on April 8 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, for Saudi Aramco's East West Residential Compounds EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) Project. POWERCHINA, the project contractor, was presented with a trophy inscribed "A Testament to Our Shared Vision and Partnership" in recognition of its dedication and contributions to the project's handover.
Hosted by the project owner, East West Real Estate Company, the ceremony showcased the project's development journey and achievements, earning praise and approval from Saudi Aramco representatives.
The project consists of six site developments and provides accommodation for 1,748 residents. It includes the construction of 22 apartment buildings and various supporting facilities, such as a community center.
The six site compounds cover 770,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 71,600 square meters, and will offer a high-quality living environment for Saudi Aramco employees.
This project marks POWERCHINA's first housing project for a private commercial developer in Saudi Arabia. Its completion demonstrates POWERCHINA's brand strength and sense of responsibility, contributing to the synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
The project also facilitated the entry of multiple Chinese brands into the Saudi market and drove exports of Chinese materials and equipment worth over 200 million yuan ($27.36 million).
