The Zarafshan Wind Power Project built by POWERCHINA in Uzbekistan.
On April 19, local time, POWERCHINA completed the installation of all 111 wind turbines at the Zarafshan Wind Power EPC Project in Uzbekistan. The final turbine hub was precisely connected at a height of 100 meters, marking a significant milestone for the project.
As Uzbekistan's first large-scale wind power facility, the Zarafshan project boasts a total installed capacity of 521.7 MW. It will be the largest wind power project in Central Asia, capable of supplying electricity to 500,000 households and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.1 million metric tons annually.
This project is a major step forward in Uzbekistan's ongoing energy transition and pursuit of sustainable economic development.
The project team will now concentrate on conducting the final batch of wind turbine performance tests and achieving full-capacity grid connection.
