POWERCHINA signed contracts on May 8 with Malaysia's Grandis Peninsula Sdn Bhd and Billion Juta Sdn Bhd to construct the Peninsula Kota Kinabalu Hotel and the Pan Borneo Highway WP 31 Bridge Project in Sabah.
Located in the commercial heart of Kota Kinabalu, the hotel project involves the development of a 28-story, 119-meter-high hotel covering a total floor area of 52,400 square meters. The building will feature a concrete slab-column shear wall structure and is expected to be completed within 36 months.
The bridge project is a crucial infrastructure initiative by the Malaysian government in Telupid. It includes the construction of four bridges over a 20-kilometer stretch, incorporating pile foundations, bridge foundations, bridge decks, and concrete structures. The project is slated for completion in 24 months.
Since entering the Sabah market in 2014, POWERCHINA has been recognized for its exceptional project execution, earning high praise from clients and partners. The company has secured and implemented 20 projects, with a total contract value exceeding 2.8 billion Malaysian Ringgit ($649.98 million).
These projects span diverse sectors, including hydropower, gas power plants, building construction, and land reclamation.
