POWERCHINA signs an EPC contract with ENEE for a transmission project.
POWERCHINA signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract on May 20 with the Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE) of Honduras for a 230kV transmission project.
This project is a strategic component of Honduras' national grid expansion plan. It includes the construction of approximately 176 kilometers of 230kV transmission lines and the development or expansion of five substations.
The project will significantly enhance Honduras' national grid's transmission capacity, providing crucial support for integrating renewable energy sources and optimizing the country's energy structure.
POWERCHINA has executed the Patuca III and Arenal hydroelectric projects in Honduras. This new contract signifies POWERCHINA's expansion from the hydropower sector into Honduras' transmission and transformation domain, laying a solid foundation for further development in the region.
