Yao Huan, director of POWERCHINA, attended the opening ceremony of the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition, held from June 10 to 12 in Macao, delivering keynote speeches at thematic and parallel forums and participating in several engagements.
At the thematic forum, Yao shared POWERCHINA's extensive experience in infrastructure development, standardization, cultural exchange, and international new energy construction.
He highlighted the company's pivotal role in globally promoting Chinese standards, fostering mutual understanding, and contributing to global energy development through strategic planning, technological leadership, financing facilitation, and industrial cooperation.
Yao emphasized POWERCHINA's commitment to strengthening international collaboration in green development, advancing green finance partnerships, and utilizing digital technology to explore new opportunities in the international new energy sector.
During the parallel forum, titled "Mapping the Path to Net-Zero, Building the Next Energy Ecosystem," Yao detailed POWERCHINA's dedication to innovating cooperation models and facilitating global energy transitions by accelerating green development, expanding win-win opportunities in third-party markets, and fostering a collaborative industry ecosystem.
Yao also held meetings with several key figures, including Abdulla Mausoom, minister of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure in the Maldives, William Duguid, minister of Planning and Development in the Prime Minister's Office of Barbados, and Riad Nurmohamed, minister of Public Works in Suriname.
Yao reiterated POWERCHINA's commitment to utilizing its integrated "investment, construction, and operation" industrial chain to participate in global green low-carbon development and infrastructure transformation, contributing to the creation of a community with a shared future.
POWERCHINA also signed six business contracts or memoranda of cooperation and announced seven significant agreements. These agreements span regions including Asia, Africa, and the Americas, covering sectors such as power, transportation, and infrastructure construction.
