On June 17, President Dina Boluarte Zegarra attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ignacio Merino School, constructed by POWERCHINA.
Also present at the event were Morgan Quero, Minister of Education for Peru; Sigifredo Zárate, Mayor of Talara; Hernán Yaipén Aréstegui, director of ANIN; as well as representatives of local teachers, students, and parents.
President Boluarte praised the new campus, as a flagship initiative under the national plan - "Con Punche Perú", also contributing to improving educational standards in the Piura Region.
She emphasized the Peruvian government's dedication to fostering educational equality and reconstruction efforts, commending POWERCHINA for its professionalism and commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment for students.
The Ignacio Merino School, with total area of 9,645 square meters, is the largest campus among 11 schools in the Piura Package 7. The campus comprises 36 specialized classrooms and innovative shading facilities that support multi-level activity spaces, providing a high-quality learning environment for 1,100 students.
The director of ANIN praised the outstanding performance from POWERCHINA team, setting a new benchmark for future projects.
