A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 23 in Linden, Guyana, for the new Christianburg Multilateral School Project, undertaken by POWERCHINA.

The ceremony was attended by Mark Phillips, Guyana's Prime Minister; Priya Manickchand, Minister of Education; and Diletta Doretti, a representative from the World Bank.

The campus will accommodate 1,000 students and 140 teachers, making it the largest secondary school in Guyana's Region 10. Prime Minister Phillips emphasized the critical role of education as the cornerstone of Guyana's development.

He expressed confidence that the project team would maintain high construction standards to deliver this modern campus, meeting the hopes of many families.

The new school is poised to enhance educational facilities in Linden, providing improved teaching resources and fostering the development of Guyana's future leaders.

This initiative is POWERCHINA's second housing construction project in the country, highlighting the company's commitment to utilizing its resources to execute important public welfare projects with excellence.
