On July 6, the Quilonga Grande Water Supply Project in Luanda, Angola, achieved a significant milestone as POWERCHINA hosted a concrete pouring ceremony for the water intake pump station .

João Baptista Borges and his team inspected the construction site, focusing on raw water pipeline installation and progress on the water treatment plant. He discussed challenges and project advancements with the team.
The project, which increases the daily water supply capacity by 510,000 cubic meters, aims to connect 350,000 more households to the water network. João Baptista Borges stressed collaboration among stakeholders to meet construction deadlines and ensure high-quality delivery.
The integrated project covers water intake, transmission, treatment, and sludge treatment, benefiting around 5 million residents. It plays a crucial role in enhancing urban water security, improving residents' quality of life, and fostering sustainable social development.
