On Aug 21, POWERCHINA handed over San Cristo School, the 11th and final institution in Peru's Piura School Project Package 7, located in Sechura, Piura province.
This marks the culmination of the project, which now provides a modern and safe learning environment for tens of thousands of students.
The San Cristo School campus spans 36,000 square meters and includes zones for kindergarten, primary, and secondary education. The campus comprises seven teaching buildings, a sports stadium, a dining hall, and four office buildings, totaling 31 classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia teaching facilities.
The total construction area is 5,734 square meters, accommodating over 1,200 students. The design emphasizes scientific planning, complete functional facilities, and landscape architecture, featuring gardens and leisure spaces.
It addresses diverse learning and living needs while incorporating barrier-free and green energy-saving concepts, fostering an open, interactive, and dynamic learning atmosphere.
The team overcame challenges such as tight schedules and personnel shortages, adhering to Peruvian national regulations and implementing localized management strategies to ensure efficient contract performance.
POWERCHINA has also fulfilled social responsibilities by donating musical instruments and educational supplies to schools and providing plants to the community, enhancing both educational conditions and the local environment.
The company remains committed to focusing on key areas such as education, flood control, and healthcare, aiming to deepen China-Peru cooperation and contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative's successes.
