On Sept 24 local time, Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal FCRS and Power Plant EPC Project, undertaken by POWERCHINA, officially received the Operational Acceptance Certificate (OAC) issued by the owner, marking the successful handover and its official entry into the warranty period, representing the first geothermal power plant EPC project successfully handed over overseas by a Chinese enterprise.
Since the project commenced, the project team of POWERCHINA has adhered to scientific planning, strict control, and precise execution. Overcoming numerous challenges such as tight schedules, complex environments, and limited resources, the team has advanced all aspects of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning with high quality, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the units. The team has also achieved key milestones on schedule, including Start-up and Load Operation (SLO), Commercial Operation Date (COD), 15-day reliability run, and the issuance of the Completion Certificate (CC). The performance test results have exceeded the contractual requirements. The issuance of the OAC certificate not only signifies that the project has fully passed the client's assessment but also fully demonstrates the company's high-quality contract performance and outstanding execution capabilities.
As a flagship demonstration project of China-Indonesia energy cooperation, Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal FCRS and Power Plant EPC Project highlights the engineering prowess and technical expertise of Chinese enterprises under complex conditions, while injecting new momentum into Indonesia’s clean energy development. Adhering to its "high standards, strict requirements, meticulous execution, and pragmatic actions" work principle, POWERCHINA will ensure reliable operational support during the warranty period, expediting punch-list clearance and defect rectification, and ultimately achieving the final performance target with excellence.
