POWERCHINA, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at Zayed University, hosted a cultural exchange event on Sept 30 in Dubai, UAE, to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
The gathering brought together nearly 30 participants, including representatives from the Confucius Institute and young delegates from POWERCHINA.
The event kicked off with a promotional video that offered insights into POWERCHINA's development journey and its commitments in the UAE. This was followed by a series of engaging presentations from Confucius Institute teachers, who introduced the traditional customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the elegance of Hanfu attire.
Participants had the opportunity to wear and take photographs in Hanfu, giving them an up-close look at the beauty and unique charm of Chinese culture.
A highlight of the day was the interactive mooncake-making session led by a professional pastry chef. Participants crafted their own mooncakes, learning traditional techniques and fostering mutual understanding.
The event deepened cultural understanding and emotional connections between young people from China and the UAE. It served as a platform for grassroots exchanges, promoting cultural learning and the development of friendships between the two countries.
