Teachers and students learn about POWERCHINA's practical achievements in advancing the UAE's energy transition at the open day event.

POWERCHINA, in collaboration with Hamdan Bin Zayed School (Hamdan School), a model institution participating the UAE's "Hundred Schools Project", hosted a cross-cultural learning open day at the Abu Dhabi PV3 Al Ajban 1.5GW Photovoltaic Project (PV3) on Nov 6.

Through immersive tours, interactive Q&A sessions, and real-world experiences, teachers and students gained valuable insights into the technological marvels of photovoltaic power generation. They witnessed firsthand POWERCHINA's practical contributions to the UAE's energy transition.

Joe Helou, executive managing director of the Al Ajban Solar PV3 Plant, stated that as a core project in Abu Dhabi's clean energy infrastructure, the plant plays a crucial role in supporting local sustainable development.

He added that POWERCHINA's open day event builds a bridge between theory and practice, expressing hope that through hands-on learning, students will experience the technological prowess behind clean energy and ignite their passion for exploring the future energy sector.

Li Junqi, Vice President of POWERCHINA MENA, acknowledged the Chinese language learning background of Hamdan School students and quoted classic Chinese sayings to highlight the importance of cross-cultural communication and education.

He encouraged the younger generation with the motto "Study hard and make progress every day", urging students to become inheritors of China-UAE friendship, contributors to green development, and to use knowledge and innovation to support a sustainable future for humanity.
