POWERCHINA officially signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with the Kenya Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency for the Keben Dam Water Supply Project in Kenya on Nov 10.
The Keben Dam Water Supply Project, located in Nandi County, Kenya, is a comprehensive livelihood project that integrates water source security, water supply improvement, and smart management.
Its main scope of work includes designing and constructing a dam, reservoir, water treatment plant, water storage tanks, and water transmission and distribution pipelines. Once completed, the project is expected to enhance the water supply capacity for Nandi and its surrounding areas, benefiting hundreds of thousands of residents. It holds significant importance for improving people's livelihoods and promoting regional economic development.
The signing of this project marks another major breakthrough for POWERCHINA in Kenya's water infrastructure sector, further consolidating the company's leading role in water resource development and livelihood projects across East Africa.
