The completion ceremony for the Bombeto Interchange Project in Guinea, undertaken by POWERCHINA, was held on Nov 15 in Conakry, capital of Guinea. Guinean President Mamady Doumbouya attended the completion ceremony and cut the ribbon, marking the project's opening to traffic.
The construction of the Bombeto Interchange Project embodies the wisdom and hard work of builders from both China and Guinea. After its opening, the project is expected to promote Guinea's economic and social development.
It is hoped that POWERCHINA will continue to utilize its professional strengths, establish closer cooperative relations with Guinea, and work together to implement more high-quality, sustainable, and people-benefiting infrastructure projects, thereby jointly writing a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Guinea.
The Bombeto Interchange is located at the Bombeto roundabout in Conakry. It is Guinea's first three-level transport facility, consisting of a three-tier interchange that includes a four-lane overpass, a two-lane underpass, and a central roundabout.
The opening of this project to traffic holds milestone significance for Guinea's transport infrastructure development. It will improve the traffic environment in Conakry.
