The boardwalk is located between Oil Street and Hoi Yu Street.

The eastern section of the East Coast Boardwalk Project, located along Hong Kong's Island Eastern Corridor and constructed by POWERCHINA, opened on Dec 29, marking full connectivity of this highly anticipated waterfront integration project.

Located between Oil Street and Hoi Yu Street, beneath an overpass on the Island Eastern Corridor, this new pedestrian boardwalk is approximately 2.2 kilometers long and 10 meters wide. It connects with the western and central sections, which were opened in January 2025, forming a continuous link between the East Coast Park Precinct and Quarry Bay Park.

As a result, a 13-kilometer-long waterfront promenade stretching from Kennedy Town in the west to Shau Kei Wan in the east has been completed, presenting the entire coastal scenery of Victoria Harbour's southern shore.

This meandering promenade, facing the Avenue of Stars on the opposite side, offers a high-quality space for daily recreation and fitness, and serves as a new landmark for tourists visiting Hong Kong, enhancing the accessibility and vibrancy of Victoria Harbour.

Since the project's commencement, the project team has pursued high-quality fulfillment and safety management goals. Facing multiple challenges, including limited construction space under the overpass and stringent environmental requirements, the team adopted advanced construction techniques, strictly controlled engineering quality and construction safety, and completed the project on schedule and to a high standard.

The project has received 62 awards from the Hong Kong government, industry institutions, and the client, including 33 collective awards and 29 individual awards.
